Tina Ramirez Moon is a Program Officer with the Healthy Communities Foundation. She believes that individual health is deeply rooted in community well-being, and that healthy communities happen through collaboration and true partnership.

 

Tina joins the team with extensive experience in place-based approaches to community-led change. Most recently she was the director of community schools for America SCORES Chicago, where she led school-community partnerships in North Lawndale, Little Village and Pilsen. Prior to that, Tina launched a variety of programs as part of a K-12 education pathway in Woodlawn, engaging youth, teachers, adult family members, and local school council leaders. She brings to HCF more than a decade of nonprofit management expertise spanning federal grant program oversight, program operations, curriculum development, training/workshop facilitation, and staff coaching.

 

Tina currently serves on the board of directors for the Alliance of Filipinos for Immigrant Rights and Empowerment Chicago (AFIRE Chicago) as board treasurer. In 2016, she was selected to participate in Chicago Women in Philanthropy’s inaugural Women’s Leadership and Mentorship Program for mid-career professionals. She received an M.A. from the University of Chicago’s School of Social Service Administration and B.A. in literary studies and creative writing from Beloit College.
